In January, the wonderfully entertaining James Campbell came to meet us. He spent time talking to all of our children about the joys of reading and writing and made us laugh lots! Afterwards, the children were inspired to write their own stories about all sorts of weird and wonderful characters like marmalade cows, clockwork bears and wild lollipop ladies...!
Back in September, we were lucky enough to be visited by local author - Brenda Gostling. She came to talk to the whole school about her book ‘Sister Poppy at the Front’ which was inspired by one of the amazing GoGoHares that were on display around Norwich over the summer. After assembly, she spent time with Otter class in a Q and A session. It was a fascinating insight into the many influences that go into creating a book.
