October 2019

  • 3 October: The theme for this year's National Poetry Day is Truth. Tell the people at National Poetry Day about any programmes you enjoy that tell the truth about something that matters to you, or deliver a home truth. Don't forget to use the hashtag #NationalPoetryDay to tell everyone how you celebrate poetry.
  • 8-13 October: National Libraries Week is a time to showcase how much libraries have an impact on communities around the UK. There will be all kinds of events happening in libraries during the week, so we recommend keeping an eye on the website for important updates.
  • 13 October:  The Apex, Bury St Edmunds host Hingham School favourite James Campbell and the children of the Boyface Project to present a Boyface play of silliness and stripe mongering....

  • 27 October: It's National Tell-A-Story Day – which story will you choose to tell?
