What a great first day! After an easy journey here, with plenty of singing, we dropped our bags off in our rooms and headed for a tour of the castle.  A brief bit of free time, then it was off to the first activity: rifles for one group and aero-ball for the other. 
After that, time to unpack and settle in a bit before dinner (roast chicken with all the trimmings!), then it was off on our evening walk. We walked about 2 miles: along the river, across a bridge, back along the picturesque high street, then back across a bridge and along the river once more. 
Time now for some well-earned rest, before a jam-packed day of activities tomorrow!  
Not many photos yet, but I will add more as we go. Safe to say, everyone is having a lovely time.
