Hello families!
After a smooth journey here, we arrived and were shown to our accommodation. Then we had a quick fire drill followed by a tour of the castle.
Our first activity was Tug of War for all 3 groups! We played some games, got into teams and then the tug of war began! Everyone enjoyed themselves and got stuck in. After a few games, we had a boy vs girl battle, with the girls coming out victorious!
After dinner, 2 groups completed the blind trail while the other played aero-ball! Everyone had a great time. The blind trail, through the woods, in the dark was tricky in places (but entertaining to watch!) but watching the children attempt to follow instructions as a group to start was definitely enlightening. They started in a line, all had the same instructions but finished scattered all over the place! We definitely all had a giggle!
Everyone slept well (eventually)! The excitement was a bit much for some, so it was a slightly later bedtime than we'd hoped for, but we think there will be some tired children, ready for a good sleep after our 5 activities today!
So far today, one group has been shooting rifles in the castle dungeons, another has been fencing in the ballroom and the other has been river tubing! At the time of writing, a second group is fencing, while another is river tubing and we have our first group grass-sledging. Unfortunately, the Wi-Fi isn't working in our accommodation, so I've had to wait until I'm with a group in the castle to do the update!
I will update again when I can.
