We are very happy with our experience of Hingham Primary School. Our daughter is in Year 1 and has learnt so much already, not only academically but also in emotional intelligence and wider life skills. She has enjoyed some brilliant school trips, as well as engaging sessions with visitors such as scientists, authors and poets, which have inspired lots of activities at home! The Head Teacher and Deputy Head greet each child individually every morning, which has helped so much with welcoming our family into the school community.
Our daughter has built strong relationships with her teachers, who understand her individual needs, encourage her contribution in class and recognise her successes. She is well supported and challenged, and feels motivated by the school Shooting Star awards and rainbow challenges in class. The school celebrates all sorts of achievements and our daughter loves to tell us what she has learnt about her friends during assemblies.
Hingham Primary is a friendly, nurturing and inspiring school.Year 1 parent
Hingham Primary School has been at the heart of my family for generations. Now a parent myself, I couldn't think of a better school for my children to attend. The staff are all amazing and feel like one big family. They are very supportive especially with my son who has special educational needs. Everyone goes out of their way to make his day the best it can be. Its a fantastic place and very well led!"

When my child got accepted for her reception place at Hingham Primary School we were delighted. Our daughter had separation anxiety and we thought this would be a huge struggle for her to settle into her new normal being at school, but the staff were and still are amazing, They helped our daughter settle into reception class amazingly and we couldn't be any happier. As the years went by our daughter made fantastic progress, she is meeting all her goals and this is all to the great staff that Hingham School have. She is now doing Forest School and in her exact words she is having an amazing time outside learning and the best bit is having hot chocolate and marshmallows. She has also been on a residential trip for a 1 night stay and the school allowed our child to do some amazing activities, She also cracked her fear of heights on the zip line and she was so happy, and she is very much looking forward to the 2 night residential trip coming up soon. We as a family recommend Hingham Primary School very much.

We highly recommend Hingham Primary. Our Year 6 daughter has loved her time here and will be sad to leave. The children feel cared for, supported and empowered to be their best! The staff go above and beyond to foster a love of learning. There are many extra-curricular opportunities supported by a great community of parents. I could have written more…

My children are so happy at the school, they enjoy the ways they are learning and always look forward to attending. They have surprised me with how much they have learnt in such a short space of time.

We do not have a school within walking distance of our house so the decision about where to send our eldest to school was not an easy one. We considered many local schools and were utterly confused until we visited Hingham. We knew immediately the school was the right fit for us. The staff know each child individually and are committed to them achieving their very best. We loved the community feel and it was clear to see how happy the children were at school. We are now in our third year and are so pleased with our decision. Our child has made so much progress and is so happy at Hingham. They have formed lovely friendships and grown in confidence, they have even given music performances in assembly and taken part in Hingham’s Got Talent! Our son started Hingham in September 2025. He has a lot of difficulties with his fine motor skills and some other sensory difficulties. We have been so well communicated with and supported by the school. Our son has made phenomenal progress. We are thrilled and so grateful for the amazing support he has received from staff in Reception. They have not only recognised his needs but have truly understood them meaning they have put the right support in right from the outset.

My daughter started Hingham Primary School September 2025 and everyone has been so welcoming and lovely. Thankfully, they take any concerns on board and are great at helping with any queries, and take the time to discuss them which I have found very reassuring. The staff in reception are so friendly and my daughter loves all of them. She comes home telling me all the fun things they've done throughout the day. She struggled at the start of term with going in but the reception teachers have been so patient and supportive - she now goes in without any problems! I can't thank them enough for how helpful they've been to both me as a parent and my daughter.

We love Hingham primary! Our daughter literally runs to her class room every morning because she loves it so much. When we pick her up from after school club she always wants to go back after supper to ‘learn more’. She writes letters to her teachers most mornings telling them they are the best and how much she loves them. This is all we could we wish for and more. She is absolutely thriving and it’s a testament all the hard work that goes into making it such a caring, warm and lovely place!

Hingham Primary has been fantastic for our daughter. We have watched her grow in confidence and skills and seen a real love for learning develop in her. The school has been wonderful in nurturing her and ensuring she feels supported and cared for whilst still pushing her to achieve her potential, which is a tricky balance to get right, but they have hit this spot on. All the staff are friendly, approachable and show genuine commitment to their roles, from the teachers to the office staff. The Headteacher leads the school with confidence, warmth and kindness and this transfers through to the atmosphere of the entire school. We have also really appreciated the school's young carer provision which has had such a positive impact on our daughters wellbeing. I would not hesitate to recommend the school and we will be very sad when she leaves this summer.

Hingham Primary School has been a wonderful experience for our family. Knowing that my daughter feels safe, supported and genuinely happy there, is incredibly reassuring as a parent. Since joining the school, she has grown so much in confidence, both academically and socially, and it’s been lovely to see her enthusiasm for leaning flourish. What stands out most is the warmth and care shown by the staff. They are approachable, attentive and clearly dedicated to the wellbeing of every child, as evidenced by the Head welcoming every child by name to the school each morning at the gate. I would highly recommend Hingham Primary School to any parent looking for a caring, engaging and inspiring place for their child to grow.

Hingham is a school that fosters community, not just within the individual classrooms but across the entire school. Our daughter has continued to flourish at Hingham Primary school and has grown so fast, not only in her academics (maths and reading) but in her own sense of self and individuality as she gains more and more independence. This is a school that values communication and listening and when problems arise, the teachers want to work with the parents for what their child needs, which truly brings us back to community being at the core of the school.

Since starting at Hingham Primary School in reception, our daughter has flourished. It was easy for us to choose Hingham Primary School for multiple reasons. As parents, there are aspects of learning that matter greatly to us, but it was clear from our first visit to the school that Hingham Primary embodied these values beautifully. For example, the school’s commitment to outdoor learning and Forest School has been a real highlight and has had a very positive impact on our experience. Not only this but the school’s approach to continuous provision throughout Reception and Year One was a key factor in our decision, creating an environment that felt thoughtful and child-centred while valuing play and imagination. The class teachers our daughter has had in Reception, Y1 and Y2 have shown us again and again how much our daughter is valued for who she is and what she’s into, giving us confidence that she feels seen in the classroom and beyond. She has grown in confidence in every way and been supported whenever we’ve asked. We have always felt listened to and continue to be impressed by the school’s commitment to creating meaningful experiences for all the children. When you find a community school like Hingham that feels like family, you say yes pretty quickly.

I have two children at the school in years six and three and both could not be happier at the school. They are excited to attend every day and feel safe, secure and nurtured while they are there. Each of my children have different learning styles and abilities and both have their individual needs met - they are challenged appropriately and are able to thrive in the way that suits them best. The environment created by the staff at Hingham Primary is welcoming and nurturing; my family all feel like part of a wider school family where we can be involved and engaged, a school community that is accessible, communicative and genuinely care about their pupils and their families. As much as their academic achievement matters, knowing that the school will also support my children living our values and promoting positivity, kindness and inclusivity is also very important to us, and it is this balanced approach of academic achievement and personal development that I feel have lead to my children thriving at Hingham Primary.

Our daughter has settled into school life really well, and it's lovely to see her bounding into the classroom each morning. She often talks about the 'grown-ups' at school, and seems to have a good rapport with all the staff. Everyone I have met has been kind and helpful, and overall I feel the school has a hugely positive, warm and cohesive vibe. I'm particularly impressed by the visibility of the headteacher and deputy at the school gates every morning and their knowledge of every pupil.

The school is fantastic. Supported myself and my son every step in my child's education. Massive help to get my son to where he is now. From a very shy boy who wouldn't talk and was behind for his year to a confident and happy boy. All the staff are helpful and will be sad when my boy leaves for high school. The SENCO and teachers are brilliant. Can't thank the staff enough for my son's journey!! I can't think of a better school. Good experience with my son and my eldest daughter. Thank you so much everyone for the hard work and patience.

My child has been in school since year R and has had a few hard life experiences before starting. From the minute she started at Hingham she has been fully supported. The staff have always been available if I or she has had any worries. She has blossomed here. Her confidence has grown. She loves learning (except maths!!) At the start, I never thought we would get reading going but with support and extra help she now always has her head in a book. She has been on residential trips, day trips, had visitors into school that has really got her interested - especially in her love of art. She has made some wonderful friends and it's lovely to see her so happy. I always wanted a small village school and I'm more than happy with my choice.

My son started at Higham Primary in September 2024. He was a very shy and emotional boy. His teachers and the staff around school have helped him tremendously, and he is now very confident and eager to learn. He is absolutely thriving and we couldn't be prouder about what he has achieved in his short time at school.

The staff at Hingham Primary school have really got to know my child and their self-esteem and self belief have flourished here. Our daughter loves school and we feel this is because the staff here have spent time getting to know her and encouraging her to thrive. Our daughter thinks she goes to "the best school ever." She loves the staff and they have enhanced her self-confidence, making her feel like she is a valued part of the school community. Finding the right school for your child is important and this is the perfect school for our child. She is happy and she is learning. The staff here make her feel like she can achieve anything if she puts her mind to it.
