To launch our week of jubilee celebrations, we took part in a live draw along with author Steve Anthony author and illustrator of 'The Queen's Hat'. We turned our illustrations into bunting.
We worked in teams to create a timeline of Queen Elizabeth's early years. We tried really hard to draw them to scale using 1cm to every 1 year.
Later on in the week, in our CLIP groups we compared the coronations of different monarchs. We learnt about what happened during the ceremony in 1953, what clothes and crowns were worn, who may have attended and what happened after the event.
On Friday, we enjoyed a picnic lunch on the playground with the rest of the school which we thoroughly enjoyed. We all look very smart in our King Edward's Crown, similar to the one the Queen wore during the Coronation ceremony!
