Hingham Art Competition
Art Competition - 2024
This year our Art Competition was based around the theme of "Spring". The children were able to use their choice of media to create any picture following the theme of Spring.
We were lucky enough to have Johno Cornish (our inspiration for last year's project - https://johnocornish.com/) to come and judge the competition.
The runners up and the winners will be displayed in Harrods of Hingham Art Gallery.
Art Competition 2023
The whole school have been involved in an Art Competition which links with the local community. Each child has been busy planning and creating a painting, the only rule being NO paint brushes! It has been wonderful to see what the children use, from feathers, pipettes and sponges, to fingers, cotton buds and forks! We invited Sally Temple, a local artist who exhibits her oil paintings (using fingers only) at the Hingham Art Gallery to make the final judgement. She found it incredibly hard as the standard was so high. Winners and runners up will be displayed in the Art Gallery window and inside too! Many thanks to both Sally for her time and also the Hingham Art Gallery for using their space to display the wonderful paintings. Well done Hingham children!
