PE/SCIENCE: DanceEast
This half term we are part of a pilot project offered by DanceEast. We are taking part in online sessions that will help us to learn science and dance simultaneously.
We have been learning about how observations of different features of birds living on the Galapagus islands led to Darwin to develop the theory of evolution. We have looked at some of the adaptations that he spotted, and turned these into a series of linked dance moves. Having taught these to a friend, we then decided how to present them in our pairs either using mirroring or performing side by side. We have considered which are soft and which are strong moves and thought about the speed that we used as well.
